Is this course only for women, or is it ok if my spouse or fiancé joins me?
This course is perfect for either couples or women – single, married, or engaged. While the majority of the course material is directed to women, it can be very helpful for their partners to develop a deeper understanding of the female body and cycle. This is true especially for engaged or married couples who would like to learn family planning protocols.

Is the FEMM Method considered NFP?
FEMM is a method of natural family planning (NFP), also known as a fertility awareness-based method (FABM). If you’re Catholic and looking for a method that respects your moral obligations to the Church’s teaching on contraception, FEMM is a great option. You can read more on the FEMM Method FAQs page.
I have irregular cycles. Can I still use the FEMM Method for family planning?
Yes, FEMM’s family planning protocols can be used if you have cycle irregularities – but you should know that irregular cycles are a red flag, often indicating hormonal imbalance or other problems. The beauty of the FEMM method is that it teaches you the parameters of a healthy cycle, so that you and your instructor can determine if something is amiss – and then get the help you need to get back to better health. So the goal is to first restore your cycles to regularity, and then to reach your family planning goals. If you’re hoping to avoid pregnancy naturally, then this is especially important. [On a personal note, I’ve totally been there with years of irregular cycles while trying to space my children – I have lots of insights (and sympathy) if you’re in that boat, my friend. Let’s get you healthy so that family planning is less dread and more fun. 😉 ]
