Hey and welcome! I’m Lydia. Wife and mama, certified fertility awareness educator, health coach, and believer in your God-given feminine genius.

I teach women and teens how to understand their bodies, track their cycles, and achieve their health goals – all while learning to love the innate beauty of their femininity.
I’m here because it’s my passion to give women the tools they need to confidently say no to artificial birth control, take charge of their fertility, and use their body knowledge to pursue holistic health.
But I’m also passionate about changing the cultural tide, in my own small way.
The world tells women that our bodies are broken, not good enough, or even inferior. We learn from a young age to be ashamed of our periods, that our fertility can – and should – be switched off until we’re “ready for kids,” and that the Pill is the magic bullet for all our female problems.
It’s the norm to think of ovulation as an inconvenience – when we think of it at all – rather than the powerful function of a healthy female body.
The result? More than 50% of American women of reproductive age are currently using dangerous, toxic, carcinogenic contraceptives, to plan their families and to ease a myriad of health concerns. And most of us have never been told that we have any other options.
But I want something better for myself, and for my three daughters. And for you! It’s time for a major shift in the way we think about, talk about, and value female cycles and fertility.

What if, instead of overlooking the mechanisms that make us uniquely female, women were empowered to naturally master our cycles? What if women could become actual participants in making choices for our reproductive health?
Well, there’s good news, my friend. Modern science has given women the tools to understand our fertility, not fear it.
The rhythm method is a thing of the past. Fertility awareness based methods (FABMs), or natural family planning (NFP), are founded on clear science, and are up to 99.4% effective when correctly used to avoid pregnancy. FABMs are also a powerful means for helping to eliminate infertility and achieve pregnancy.
You can learn more about fertility awareness here, and various methods and statistics here. And you can read about the method that I teach here.
But fertility awareness isn’t just about making (or not making) babies. Did you know that understanding your fertility and hormones can help you to monitor your overall health? Your cycles are like a vital sign, giving you information about your body as a whole. When you know the parameters of a healthy period and ovulation, you can also quickly detect when something is abnormal.
Isn’t your body amazing?! God didn’t miss a thing when He created you.
Edith Stein once said, “The world doesn’t need what women have. It needs what women are.”
Your femininity is not something accidental. You were created as a woman on purpose, for a purpose. All of you – body, mind, and soul – is a gift that God wants to use to set the world on fire with His love.
Whether you’re a veteran NFP-er looking for a fresh method, or your mind is blown because you’ve just heard the term fertility awareness for the first time – you’ve come to the right place. Welcome, friend. I can’t wait to help you see just how altogether beautiful you are.
Official Bio

Lydia Borja is a smitten wife, and The Mama to an army of little people. She’s also a chocoholic and an INFJ, a mental health advocate, health coach, and certified fertility awareness educator. Lydia loves to talk (real) motherhood, the feminine genius (of JP2 fame), Jane Austen novels, and, of course, ovulation. She considers her Catholic faith her greatest treasure, and her beautiful family and spectacular friends a close second.
In college, Lydia was told that hormonal contraceptives would be her only chance of managing her symptoms of PCOS. She quickly became unsatisfied with the side effects, took herself off the Pill, and explored charting her cycles with fertility awareness to improve her body literacy and overall health – and never looked back.
Lydia brought her appreciation of fertility awareness to her marriage, where an understanding of her cycles helped her to conceive her first baby – even though she was told that PCOS would most likely render her infertile. Throughout their 10-year marriage, Lydia and her husband have been committed to using fertility awareness based methods to plan their family. Although they’re the first to admit that natural family planning isn’t easy, they’ve also seen it bring much grace to their lives.
In 2018, Lydia became a certified fertility awareness educator with FEMMHealth. She loves coaching women, couples, and especially teens, towards a better understanding of the power of female fertility, and a love of authentic femininity.
She and her family are Georgia natives and reside in the Atlanta metro area.
You are altogether beautiful, my love. There is no flaw in you.
